I’m an older gentleman with still good hearing who was fed up with all that elitist high-end stuff and was seized by the ambition to build a high-quality desktop system where I could enjoy music and work simultaneously.
That worked quite well under Windows 10, then a new computer arrived and the whole ordeal started again, this time with Windows 11.
Normally, I have nothing good to say about this OS; I think what Microsoft has done is an absolute disgrace. So I installed an extremely stripped-down version and discovered that I like the sound much better than under Windows 10.
I have Audirvana, but honestly? I love MusicBee’s interface and its crisp sound. However, the quality still wasn’t quite right. Using EqualizerApo, as I did under Windows 10, backfired, so I tried the free version of Fidelizer.
That sounded promising, so I bought the Pro version. With it, I could configure my system so that I can really enjoy my music. Technically, my system is far from perfect, but I’m having a lot of fun with it. The music inspires me at work, and during particularly beautiful or interesting passages, I take a break and just listen…
