The effect of your “DX200 Advanced DX220-ported ROM” is simply gorgeous! The sound is really much clearer, the bass are much deeper and extended but very clean and alive, the mediums and voices are very life-like (details, feelings of the singer), the trebles are very precise, more transparent, sound natural, detailed, fast and “dynamic”. Overall, it is incredible. The stereo image seems really neat, wider, and even deeper; the instruments of all sorts are pretty well located. Also, the instruments sound “free”, like if each of them had its own space of the exact dimension it “needs” to sound natural, sort of free. But despite this, the instruments are not “stepping over” each other; amazing. (The quality of recording starts to be audible at this point, which makes sense.) Even during the most intense part of different types of musics, all sounds keep pretty distinct, not muddy. Impressive! The music goes from very low level to intense volume super-fast but “in an effortless way”. And all that, while I am using flac files only of CD quality. (I guess I will have to consider using higher quality files…) I then though about you, Keetakawee, and I do not know how long it took you to develop this know-how, but, gee!, do you know your business! For about 12% of the official price of the DX200, your Advanced ROM literally wakes up the potential of this DAP and seems to “multiplies” its performances. And I did not get any hardware mod. Yet. UPDATE After flashing PerfectDynamics 3.0:
Hi, Keetatawee,
Thank you very much for the update. I installed it on my DX200.
I was surprised by the difference! Deeper basses, trebles feel a bit more free but, above all, the sounds are much swifter and I feel a much better location of the instruments and with a “scene” that sound much bigger!!!
The former versions did not give such a big improvement ! I believe it is also because you implemented your PerfectDynamic 3.0 on the DX200!
Anyways, thanks to your new version, the new MangoPlayer under Android OS sounds gorgeous with your PerfectDynamic 3.0 implementation. Really IMPRESSIVE!
