Sorry it took a while after the last X5iii ROM released on another day. I was busy with Bangkok AV Show’s preparations and testing some highend servers at my friend’s place. Fidelizer Purist ROM update for Fiio X7 is here now. 🙂

 

-Based on firmware version 3.3.7
-Fiio Music app updated with Fidelizer optimizations
-Apollo – Fidelity Edition from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apollo-music-player-fidelity-edition-t3038629 included
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-bundled audio effects removed but keep main engine (Poweramp works now)

Installation Guide

1. Download X7 Firmware Upgrade Tool
2. Turn off Fiio X7
3. Connect X7 with USB connection to computer while holding previous track button
4. Install RK USB driver included in Firmware Upgrade Tool and replace update.img image with Fidelizer Purist ROM version
5. Open X7 Firmware Upgrade Tool.exe and press the green button in middle right flash the ROM

There’s a lot of improvements for Advanced ROM and I also added Enhanced ROM into collection too. Please read Portable Products for more details including Fidelizer Mod project with 3 modification levels. Happy listening. 🙂

 

 

At last, the last device but not least of Fiio X series has new Purist ROM updated. I also recommend to flash official ROM version 3.3.6 before flashing Purist ROM too. Some people also asked me for M series version but I don’t have devices yet. If you want to test, please let me know.

After releasing PerfectDynamics 2.0 update for Fiio X7ii device, it failed to boot up properly despite having the same processor and the same amount of RAM as DX200 I tested before. So it took me a while to fixed this issue and release another one for Fiio X7. 🙂
