Fiio X7ii Purist ROM version 1.1.1 JP released

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 2.0

 

Before leaving to Japan, I was informed there’s Japan ROM update for Fiio X7ii version 1.1.1 JP with wifi fix so I’ve finishing updated it for Japanese users.

I recommend to flash Japan ROM (1.1.1 JP) before flashing Purist ROM version to make sure you get the same partition alignment. Cross flashing will make device unbootable and may corrupt device’s data.

 

-Based on firmware version 1.1.1 JP
-Fiio Music app is updated with Fidelizer optimizations
-Apollo – Fidelity Edition from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apollo-music-player-fidelity-edition-t3038629 included
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-bundled audio effects removed but keep main engine (Poweramp works now)

Installation Guide

1. Download X7ii Firmware Upgrade Tool
2. Turn off Fiio X7ii
3. Connect X7ii with USB connection to computer while holding previous track button
4. Install RK USB driver included in Firmware Upgrade Tool and replace update.img image with Fidelizer Purist ROM version
5. Open X7II(Chinese text).exe and press the green button in middle right flash the ROM

Hi. It seems previous official ROM is actually stock ROM repacked so my apologies. I’m going to Japan now so I’ll fix this later when I come back from trip. For now, please enjoy fully ported DX220 ROM version with updated kernel for AMP9. 🙂

-Based on iBasso DX220 firmware version V1.12.149
–Yalp Store is added as Play Store’s alternative (I still keep Google services for those who want to install Play Store through other means)
-Apollo – Fidelity Edition from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apollo-music-player-fidelity-edition-t3038629 included
-Revamped MangoPlayer UI with improved user experience
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-Audio engine optimized for only audio playback (EQ/Gaplass features work)

Installation Guide

1. Install Rockchip USB driver included in AndroidTool and make sure it shows ‘Found One ADB device’ in AndroidTool software
2. Extract Official Oreo ROM firmware from iBasso to device’s storage and flash from Settings > System > Updater > Local storage
3. After successfully flashing official ROM, go to Settings > System > About tablet and tap “Build number” for 7 times to enable “Developer options”
4. Tap back arrow to enter “Developer options”, enable “USB debugging”, and press OK
5. Connect DX200 to computer with USB connection in Android mode again and press OK to allow USB debugging
6. Download Disable Verity package and run disable_verity.bat file (You may need to authorize USB debugging and run disable verity again if not reboot)
7. After DX200 boots up properly with Verity disabled, turn off device and connect with USB connection to computer while holding play button
8. Open AndroidTool, click on “Upgrade Firmware” tab, click on Firmware button and select update.img extracted from Purist ROM then click Upgrade

It’s been a long while since last official DX200 ROM update. I’m glad that iBasso finally released an official update after maintaining DX200 devices with DX220 ROM port. I also added MangoPlayer from DX220 ROM too. 🙂

 

-Based on firmware version Oreo 8.1 V1.07.082
-Added MangoPlayer from iBasso DX220 1.12.149 ROM

Updated PerfectDynamics 2.0 Sound Optimizations for iBasso DX100 Fidelizer Enhanced/Advanced ROM

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 2.0

Finally, PerfectDynamics 2.0 update for iBasso DX100 is released. This device is very old so it needed specific methods to build this ROM to work properly. I also updated flashing instructions in DX100 Purist ROM based on recent tests.

I finally finished completed PerfectDynamics 2.0 line up now. DX200 ROM update was released yesterday so I’ll try to release an official one first with MangoPlayer from DX220 device . 🙂

If you still use good old iBasso DX100, you can check out Fidelizer Purist ROM first and see. If you’d like to upgrade with PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations in Enhanced / Advanced ROM, there’ll be a lot of improvements that won’t disappoint those who can appreciate Purist ROM. 🙂

And new DX220 ROM strikes again when I was going to update PerfectDynamics 2.0 on DX100 device. It’s a good thing for iBasso DX220 users that they keep updating frequently. I’ll update this one for DX220 first and work on DX100 next.
