First of all, I’d like to inform you that there’s new changes in kernel version 2.9 that made some usual optimizations I put on didn’t work anymore. I made some adjustments to fix this issue and released it with testing from my environment.

However, some cases like Samsung 256GB micro SD card having massive collection like 20,000 songs won’t work smoothly. With help from understanding clients who tested my ROM and loan his unit for testing, I can finally make a stable release.

In this release, I’ll also add instructions to flash factory image version 2.1.94 and wiping data too. You can skip optional steps if you don’t have any issue.

Installation Guide

1. Download Factory Tool provided by Paul http://www.ibasso.com/uploadfiles/download/FactoryTool_v1.39_DX200.zip
2. Turn off DX200
3. Connect DX200 with USB connection to computer while holding play button switch
4. Install Rockchip USB driver included in FactoryTool
5. Open FactoryTool.exe and flash ROM according to instructions provided in DX200 batch tool instruction.doc

Optional (If your DX200 still has performance issues)

1. Flash factory image version 2.1.94 with FactoryTool
2. Copy OTA ROM version 2.9.209 to DX200 storage and flash from Settings > About DX200 > System updates > Local update
3. Flash Fidelizer Purist ROM with FactoryTool again

Hi. After working constantly on Fiio ROM updates, there’s also DX150 release for ROM version 2.10.275 too. Now DX150 Purist ROM update is ready to install with some new adjustments and improvements based on recent Fiio updates.

Right now I’m working on proper DX200 ROM update. They seem to make some major changes in kernel and changes I usually apply didn’t work on DX200 2.9. First release has issues with some cases in Mango but that’ll be fixed soon.

I thought I’d release DX200 2.9 ROM together with PerfectDynamics 2.0 but sadly I haven’t finished it yet especially after listening to classical concert in Golden Hall. There’s a lot for me to do to improve Purist ROM for 2.0 release.

However, I managed to fix a few issues during development so I’ll also include those fixes into this release too. I apologize for the issues that happened with some cases in Enhanced / Advanced ROM and now they’re all resolved. 🙂
