Fidelizer review on Positive Feedback

Positive Feedback is one of my trusted sources when I want to look up to products before seeing the real things. I hoped for a day where Fidelizer will be reviewed by Positive Feedback and today is that day. Fidelizer Pro is finally reviewed by Tom Gibbs who also wrote the review of cost-effective JitterBug by Audioquest. It’s good to see how he’ll view Fidelizer from such perspectives.

First of all, it’s good to see how he pointed out his concerns about the mixed feedback through past years. Since early days, Fidelizer has been receiving a lot of love and hate from users and that made a few people missed out opportunities to try Fidelizer. He, too was one of them and I’m glad to see he  finally stepped out from caution zone. It’s thanks to all of your guys’ support through the year so Fidelizer can be seen in a more positive light.

I’d like you to read the whole review so you can see Fidelizer from Tom Gibbs’ perspectives. I also learned a few things from reading his review and it was a good lesson. It’s worth being misunderstood for years to reach this day where everyone can find a way to enjoy the music better with Fidelizer. Here’s some recaps of his impressions from the review.

For me, now, I cannot imagine going forward without Fidelizer. Once you’ve reconciled your way of thinking to Fidelizer’s approach, and let’s face it, people—the computer you use for digital music playback should be as streamlined as possible for that function alone—perhaps you can get beyond overthinking the situation and just listen to the music. And that music is presented in a deeper, blacker, quieter background, with greater image specificity, transparency and palpability—your digital files are much closer to the sound of live music than they are without Fidelizer. In my current system where the PS Audio NuWave DSD DAC currently holds court, I’m constantly inspired and amazed by the stunning realism and musicality, and Fidelizer is a really large part of that equation. For roughly seventy bucks USD, I can’t recommend Fidelizer highly enough.

You can read the whole review below and feel free to express your impressions here. 🙂

Fidelizer Pro 6.12: Optimizing Your PC’s Core Audio Processes for Improved Playback Fidelity

Fidelizer 6.12 released – Major fixes with process optimizations

Lately I received more reports about playback issues with multi-core optimizations so I re-evaluated the core optimizations and realized that I left a critical bug there. In reserved process list, I accidently added one more space making the reserved process list not working properly. As a result, some audio processes got affected by this. I thought they worked before because some processes are secured but not all goes as planned. Now I fixed this critical bug and should improve sound quality with better stability.

Some people requested me to allow manual process execution running normal so I added explorer into reserved process list to run any music player application after optimizations without penalty in Audiophile/Extremist optimization levels. Now I’m running Audiophile optimization level playing games and working without significant system slow down. I also added JPLAY clock detection so OS Timer option will be unchecked if JPLAY clock is set to 15.6ms. I hope you guys will find it handy.

Changelog for version 6.12

Free
-Executing a new process after optimizations will run with all cores instead of isolated core
-Fixed non-audio process optimizations bug where reserved process list doesn’t work properly
-OS timer option will be unchecked if JPLAY Clock is set to 15.6ms

Plus
-Executing a new process after optimizations will run with all cores instead of isolated core
-Fixed non-audio process optimizations bug where reserved process list doesn’t work properly

-Task Scheduler service will by disabled and startup will rely on registry if EnableLUA is set to 0
-OS timer option will be unchecked if JPLAY Clock is set to 15.6ms

Since uploading over 800 licenses will take quite a bit of time and space, I’ll have to remove previous 6.9 release so you can find up to last 3 revisions in your repository. Let us know if there’s any change that affect your usability so we can improve in next release.

Windows 10 v1511 (Threshold 2) Update Report

I noticed this update from my recently bought Lenovo tablet just before going to a trip with my dad. Now I’m back and it’s about time to test this major update for Windows 10. I noticed some new icons and over all it’s more stable than before.

As for sound quality, I notice the improvements significantly. It has better dynamics and more fluid than before. Windows 10 sounds clearly better than Windows 8.1 and this update takes a few steps higher than before, especially with Fidelizer Pro.

If you’re running Windows 10 right now, I suggest you to update to v1511 immediately. And happy listening. 🙂

UPDATE: On downside note, audio latency is increased. I used to get stable playback at 3ms with Hiface Two but now it’s creased to 4ms. Older Windows 10 gives more solid sound thanks to lower latency performance. However, it still gives better transparency and separation.

Fidelizer Upgrade Program – 800th purchase offer

Fidelizer Upgrade Program - 800th Purchase Offer

YAY! 800th license milestone reached. Another 200th left to reach 1000th. This wouldn’t be possible without continuous support and contributions from everyone.

Fidelizer Plus: US $39.95 —> $30.0 (Expired)
Fidelizer Pro: US $69.95 —> $55.0 (Expired)

This offer will last until 29th November 2015. I’ll be working on Windows 10 updates for a while and will release 6.12 later with some improvements upon request. I got some requests from existing customers who purchased some before recently. I hope this will be good opportunity for you to consider upgrading Fidelizer. I also refunded the excessive amount for customers who ordered today.

Fidelizer 6.11 released – Fixing some user experience and security glitches

It appeared I left some troublesome bugs for new users in 6.10 that doesn’t seem to work like Workstation on default configuration. Now I solved this issue for good. It doesn’t take too much time fixing it but I was occupied with other projects and only have time to finish 6.11 recently.

I also aligned Security Center service to be handled only when UAC is turned off completely. So you won’t see Security Center being disabled notification anymore unless you turn UAC off completely. There’s also other fixes I applied too like fixing typos and make default browser behave properly on Windows 10.

Changelog for version 6.11

Free
-Fixed default browser launch software bug on some platforms
-Fixed selecting all available options when run the software for the first time
-Fixed stopping ‘Security Center’ service when UAC is turned on
-Fixed typos in software

Plus
-Fixed selecting all available options when run the software for the first time
-Fixed stopping ‘Security Center’ service when UAC is turned on
-Fixed typos in software

Pro
-Fixed selecting all available options when run the software for the first time
-Fixed disabling ‘Security Center’ service when UAC is turned on
-Fixed typos in software

It took me a while to upgrade backend system to generate software and send update notification to all customers. I also updated User Guide with matching pictures to each scenario for better understanding. Please let me know  if there’s anything else missing to fix. I forgot about fixing security center until one user notified me again yesterday.
