Fiio X5iii Purist ROM version 1.1.7 released!

New Fiio X5iii 1.1.7 ROM is out now. It also comes with the following updates for Enhanced/Advanced ROM users as below.

-Based on firmware version 1.1.7
-Deodexed
-Apollo – Fidelity Edition from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apollo-music-player-fidelity-edition-t3038629 included
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-bundled audio effects removed but keep main engine (Poweramp works now)

Installation Guide

1. Download Factory Tool provided by Devin http://www.mediafire.com/file/0yztdw6qdpwwp9a/X5III+Firmware+Upgrade+Tool+with+FW1.1.1.zip
2. Turn off Fiio X5iii
3. Connect X5iii with USB connection to computer while holding previous track button
4. Install RK USB driver included in Firmware Upgrade Tool and replace update.img image with mine.
5. Open X5III Firmware Upgrade Tool.exe and flash ROM according to instructions provided in Instructions of How to Use the X5 3rd gen Firwmare Upgrade Tool.pdf

 

There’s a lot of improvements for Advanced ROM and I also added Enhanced ROM into collection too. Please read Portable Products for more details including Fiio X5iii Fidelizer Mod project with 3 modification levels.

Purist ROMs for iBasso DX50/80/90 added in Portable Products!

Before publishing Fidelizer ROMs for iBasso DX200 unit, I used to release Fidelizer ROMs for iBasso DX50/80/90 too. However, the project was on hold due to unfavorable interference in Head-Fi.

Yesterday, I received order for Advanced ROM of DX80 and I also was tipped for DX50 a day before as well. So, I spend all day baking and cooking all iBasso DX50/80/90 ROMs which are 15 ROMs in total. It was very exhausting.

iBasso DX50/80/90 will contain the following features as below:

-Based on most recent version from official iBasso website
-System font was replaced with lighter version of Nimbus font
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-audio engine optimized for only audio playback (EQ/Gaplass features work)
-bundled audio effects removed but keep main engine

Installation Guide

1. Extract update.img from archive and copy to internal storage (or the micro SD slot 1 for DX80)
2. Open device Settings > Advanced > System Update
3. Wait for device to finish flashing
4. After flashing is completed, I recommend choosing Slow filter

Since many people asked for Gaplass and Equalizer, I decided to lower the bar for people who want it. This is different from Advanced ROM I cooked for some members before but that’s as far as I can do to keep up with compatibility request.

Nimitra - BITEC

 

Hello everyone. I apologize for not being able to provide prompt response to some inquiries recently due to I was busy helping friends preparing another AV show in Thailand. This time it’s a very big event with big room similar to international show events.

Thailand International High-End Audio-Video Show 2017 (That’s pretty long name) will be held at Bitec, Bangna. You can travel by BTS public transport and drop by Bangna station and spend 5 minutes walk into Bitec building. The show is on the second floor.

I have Nimitra featured in some rooms too. What I’ve finished setting up is P.M.C. room. I’ll visit the show today and see if we can arrange Nimitra in flagship Esoteric and dCS rooms. Most ultra high-end systems will be featured in this show so don’t miss!
