Calyx M is finally added into Fidelizer Purist ROM repository with PerfectDynamics optimizations!

Yesterday I received PM about Calyx M and I happened to retrieve Calyx M for modification so I decided to put other projects on hold and focus on Calyx M today to make sure it’ll be out for long awaited fans. Sorry to keep you guys waiting for so long. It’s finally here.

-Based on official Calyx M firmware 1.01_r13_20141121
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-bundled audio effects removed but keep main engine

Installation Guide

1. Copy Purist ROM file into SD Card (large ones)
2. Turn off Calyx M and make sure battery is over 30%
3. Press and hold power and previous button
4. After white Calyx M logo flashing out, release buttons
5. After white Calyx M logo flashing in again, press and hold power and previous button then and release previous button after 1 second
6. After recovery menu boots up, release power button
7. Select “apply update from SD card” option
8. Select Calyx M Purist ROM file and let system finish flashing

 

Now Calyx M Purist ROM also come with Enhanced and Advanced version with PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations. If you’re using my Advanced ROM or sent Calyx M for modding before, you can ask for ROM update. Please also check Portable Products for more details about ROM upgrades and hardware modification.

iBasso DX50 / 80 / 90 Purist ROMs update with Equalizer / Gapless returning for Advanced Purist

Last week I received bug report from iBasso DX90 user that player sometimes stop playing next song. It didn’t happen during the tests because it often happened after 10 songs played, sometimes after second loop of the album.

I spent the whole week investigating why this happened and I found that removing Equalizer and Gapless on Advanced Purist ROM will trigger this bug. To resolve the case, I brought back those features in Advanced Purist but kept audio effect engine removed.

iBasso DX50/80/90 will contain the following features as below:

-Based on most recent version from official iBasso website
-System font was replaced with lighter version of Nimbus font
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-audio engine optimized for only audio playback (EQ/Gaplass features work)
-bundled audio effects removed but keep main engine

Installation Guide

1. Extract update.img from archive and copy to internal storage (or the micro SD slot 1 for DX80)
2. Open device Settings > Advanced > System Update
3. Wait for device to finish flashing
4. After flashing is completed, I recommend choosing Slow filter

I’m sorry to keep X7 users waiting for so long. Now the wait is over. I’m glad to be able to deliver all Fidelizer Purist ROM updates now. 🙂

Installation Guide

1. Download X7 Firmware Upgrade Tool from Fiio website http://x7pack.fiio.net/X7_Firmware_Upgrade_Tool_with_FW3.3.0.zip
2. Turn off Fiio X7
3. Connect X7 with USB connection to computer while holding previous track button
4. Install RK USB driver included in Firmware Upgrade Tool and replace update.img image with Fidelizer Purist ROM version.
5. Open X7 Firmware Upgrade Tool.exe and flash ROM according to instructions provided in “Instructions of How to Use the X7 Firwmare Upgrade Tool.pdf”

Hello everyone. After launching Fidelizer Upgrade Program for a while, I noticed there’s only Fidelizer Plus license and I found it a little strange since past few days. I thought maybe they want to try Plus version first.

Today I was informed that some customers could’t purchase Fidelizer Pro license at all so I checked up the website and found Pro section has torned up options. I suspect it was some parts of auto correction bug with new WordPress update.

After screaming to my own stupidity for a while, I’ve fixed this bug in Fidelizer Upgrade Program and Fidelizer Pro purchase is working fine now. To compensate for this error, I’ve extended the purchase offer time as below.

I wish I could released this sooner but I have HiFi Show in Thailand requiring immediate attention last week so I finally got time to work on it after the show with Nimitra. This new version also won’t wipe your data anymore so enjoy free non-wipe upgrade. 🙂

2. Turn off Fiio X7ii
3. Connect X7ii with USB connection to computer while holding previous track button
4. Install RK USB driver included in Firmware Upgrade Tool and replace update.img image with Fidelizer Purist ROM version.
5. Open X7II(Chinese text).exe and press the green button in middle right flash the ROM
