Yesterday I received a message from DX220 Advanced ROM client trying to flash Purist ROM from Mac. It appears the the latest version of rkflashtool in Mac can flash Oreo ROM directly too when verity is disabled. You can check this guide below for additional instructions. 🙂

Here’s a new feedback today. He purchased Plus version first and then upgraded to Pro version later along with some support with his mapped network drive.
One thing I have say, the tweaks is worth a buy. Music is organic, natural, dimensional and crispy clear with darker background. I have never heard any other tweaks closer to this both on Windows and Linux.
I wouldn’t recommend Free version, it may spoil the first impression of the tweaks capability. A cheapest computer with this tweak can replace transports that cost several thousands.
I am currently running the tweaks on a $69 worth computer and it beats my most expensive transporter. Awesome job!

It took me a while but it’s finally done. Here’s iBasso DX160 Purist ROM ported from iBasso DX220 ROM with Mango OS and happy listening. 🙂
-Based on iBasso DX220 firmware version V1.16.242 and DX160 firmware version 1.04.150

Installation Guide
1. Install Rockchip USB driver included in AndroidTool and make sure it shows ‘Found One ADB device’ in AndroidTool software
2. Extract Official Oreo ROM firmware from iBasso to device’s storage and flash from Settings > System > Updater > Local storage
3. After successfully flashing official ROM, go to Settings > System > About tablet and tap “Build number” for 7 times to enable “Developer options”
4. Tap back arrow to enter “Developer options”, enable “USB debugging”, and press OK
5. Connect DX160 to computer with USB connection in Android mode again and press OK to allow USB debugging
6. Download Disable Verity package and run disable_verity.bat file (You may need to authorize USB debugging and run disable verity again if not reboot)
7. After DX160 boots up properly with Verity disabled, turn off device and connect with USB connection to computer while holding play button
8. Open AndroidTool, click on “Upgrade Firmware” tab, click on Firmware button and select update.img extracted from Purist ROM then click Upgrade
