Added iBasso DX220 Advanced ROM feedback from Wai Siew

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 2.0

Here’s another feedback today from customer who purchased Enhanced ROM for DX160. He shared his feedback after receiving Enhanced ROM last night.

Listening right now as I receive your message. Appreciate your quick response. DX160 sounds brilliant. Voice and instrument placements feel so much more distinct. Sound stage is wonderful. Vocals seemed recessed more with nice detail. Gives rise to a very nice stage setting. I’m hooked. Many thanks!

Finally received the first feedback for iBasso DX160 device. This model is actually the most selling one since last few months so I hope to hear more from DX160 users too. 🙂

Added iBasso DX220 Advanced ROM feedback from iMongui

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 2.0

Here’s another feedback today from customer who purchased Advanced ROM for DX220. He shared his feedback in Head-Fi forum after using Advanced ROM for a while.

After 10 days more or less of listening after the upgrade to Advanced I only can say that its amazing how just “only” software mod can change SO DRAMATICALLY the overall sound experience, again, amazing. 2 case uses, both under Android, I need to taste Mango after the update but I can state that Android was improved so much that I’m shocked that this improvement could be done, really.

First setup, DX228 + Andromeda S, medium gain, volume 80, FLAC most of them 16 but some others 24 bits, no mp3

– Soundstage better
– Bass dramatically improved, not the typical bom bom but with more clear sub-bass
– Instrumentals with more separations. I started listening the Whiplash BSO and oh god, sometimes I closed my eyes and I thought that I was on the film shoot
– More vocals presence
– I noticed that the mids are maybe those who have benefited the least as a “bad” point

Second setup, DX228 + Fostex TH610, high gain, volume 120, FLAC most of them 16 but some others 24 bits, no mp3

– Soundstage has teleported me to the first row of the concert, amazing
– Bass on this headphones are very nice and I noticed a more “dry” bass and sub-bass not affecting the rest of the frequencies, right on, perfect
– Instrumentals again with more separations, very clear
– Highs and mids both improved, for sure, overall improvement

One absolutely amazing thing that I noticed is the battery, oh my gosh, the last testing was 2 hours of use and the stats went from 100% to 81%, really, this is freaking awesome.

In general for me its more than worth this solution, the free one its quite nice but of course that its very far away from the performance that the enhanced and above all, the advanced one.

PD: I’m not sponsored by Fidelizer nor they didn’t pay me anything for this review

I’m happy to see he shared his feedback with different setup rigs. You can also read his post in Head-Fi’s official DX220 thread too. 🙂

Added iBasso DX220 with Fidelizer Masterpiece Mod feedback from dhc0329

Here’s a new feedback today from a customer who purchased iBasso AMP8/AMP9 with Fidelizer Signature Mod before went later completed Masterpiece Mod with DX220 main body modification.

I don’t know about the advanced rom but fidelizer did a remarkable job modding the amp9. The level of depth
I get is beyond what I have ever experienced going even deeper than n8. This is organic to dripping max,
not to mention sounding so vivid and realistic. Feel like I finally got the sound I deserve! The fidelizer
guy must have been smoking something real potent while he was cooking my amp9 tube circuit.
Hope this wasn’t coincidental. 🙂

He also purchased a new iBasso DX220 DAP with main body mod instead instead of sending back unit to apply modification so he could compare stock and modified unit side by side. 🙂
