Added DX200 Advanced ROM feedback from Lavitiana Tsimiala

DX200 - Purist ROM

Here’s another feedback today. He shared his feedback as a comment in my Facebook post about DX200’s Oreo V2 update as below.

Rom Oreo v2 Fidelizer installed, interface become much fluid reading DSD512 works very well with Mango Android, and Pure Mango. The Pure Mango Interface has become a little more fluid so usable, but I hope the fluidity will improve again. But it’s already a sick sound, wow, bravo. I recommend.

And here’s his original message in French before translation.

Fidelizer Purist ROM doesn’t only improve sound quality with purist audio performance but also improve system performance and add quality of life improvements too. 🙂

Installation Guide

First of all, this Oreo ROM comes with Verity enabled to protect system partition images. Even if you managed to flash modified system image and boot properly, those files won’t be updated and use older files from cache partition. To disable Verity, please follow the instructions below.

1. Go to Settings > System > About tablet and tap “Build number” for 7 times to enable “Developer options”
2. Tap back arrow and enter “Developer options” and enable “USB debugging”, press OK
3. Download Disable Verity package and run disable_verity.bat file (You can install driver from Official Oreo ROM package)

After DX200 boots up properly with Verity disabled, you can start flashing Purist ROM now with these steps below.

1. Turn off DX200
2. Connect DX200 with USB connection to computer while holding play button switch
3. Install Rockchip USB driver included in update tool
4. Flash Official Oreo ROM Beta firmware from iBasso with instructions provided in update tool
5. After successfully flashing official one, flash Purist ROM again

This firmware is still in beta stage so it’s not stable yet. If you have any issue with Oreo ROM beta, you can always go back to official 2.1.94 version and then flash Fidelizer Purist ROM thereafter for better sound quality and system performance. 🙂

Here’s another feedback today from iBasso DX200 user in forum. He shared his findings after I share my custom ROM with Play Store alternative and other optimizations.

Whatever you did..dude its awesome!! IMHO definitely improvements over stock oreo..soundstage is larger, everything sounds more clearer. Love it!!..more testing

This is the first feedback for Fidelizer Purist ROM with Oreo update. I released the world’s first DX200 custom ROM again and again thanks to people who supported my Advanced ROM so I could have dedicated all time and effort to make it happen. 🙂
