Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 3.0

 

For new users, please read about PerfectDynamics 3.0 Sound Optimizations first for new improvements with Fidelizer ROMs.

 

After refreshing DX220Max with new libraries and updates from DX160 device, it’s time to make DX160 shine with DX220Max Mango OS.

 

-Based on iBasso DX220Max firmware version V1.02.143
-PerfectDynamics 3.0 Sound Optimizations applied
-Mango OS enabled
-iBasso Music, Launcher are ported from latest version of iBasso DX160 with optimizations
-Libraries files are updated from latest version of iBasso DX160
-Google Play Store added
-Apollo – Fidelity Edition from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apollo-music-player-fidelity-edition-t3038629 included
-MangoPlayer app has optimizations applied
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-Audio engine optimized for only audio playback (EQ/Gaplass features work)

Installation Guide

1. Install Rockchip USB driver included in iBasso DX220Max Upgrade Tool and make sure it shows ‘Found One ADB device’ in AndroidTool software
2. Extract OTA ROM from Official Oreo ROM firmware to DX160’s internal storage and flash from Settings > System > Updater > Local storage
3. After successfully flashing official ROM, go to Settings > System > About tablet and tap “Build number” for 7 times to enable “Developer options”
4. Tap back arrow to enter “Developer options”, enable “USB debugging”, and press OK
5. Connect DX160 to computer with USB connection in Android mode again and press OK to allow USB debugging
6. Download Disable Verity package and run disable_verity.bat file to disable verity and restart (Authorize USB debugging on device and run again)
7. After DX160 boots up properly with Verity disabled, run reset_loader.bat file so you can enter loader mode
8. Open AndroidTool, click on “Upgrade Firmware” tab, click on Firmware button and select update.img extracted from Purist ROM then click Upgrade

If you like improvements in Purist ROM, you may upgrade to Enhanced / Advanced ROM for even better sound. Please read Portable Products for more details including Fidelizer Mod project with 3 modification levels and happy listening. 🙂

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 3.0

 

It’s been almost 3 years since the last update for iBasso DX220Max unit. I figured I can apply new updates from iBasso DX160 which has some components ported from modern iBasso DAPs. Will port this update to other iBasso DAPs soon so enjoy. 🙂

 

-Based on iBasso DX220Max firmware version V1.02.143

Added iBasso DX220 Advanced ROM feedback from Young

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 3.0
Here’s a new feedback today. He sent me his feedback after updating his iBasso DX220 with latest version with Advanced ROM as below.

Last night, I finally upgraded Dx220 to Fidelizer advanced ROM. I am using Amp8Ex. Sound is amazing! I was surprised that Apple music works flawlessly. Also, included Apollo sounds so good. I may not need to use Mango player ever again. Prior to upgrade, android SQ was noisy and bad. Thanks so much!!

I used My Fidelizer DX220 with Vision ears VE7(with Cardas clear light iem cable). Though VE7 is very sensitive, did not notice much white noise. Another favorite among my set ups!

I’m happy to hear that Apple Music works flawlessly and resolve noisy sound quality issues with iBasso DX220 using Fidelizer Advanced ROM and happy listening. 🙂

Sorry it took a very long while to update Fidelizer Purist ROM for iBasso DX160. I was very busy with managing a lot of projects since last month and only got to finish DX160 ROM update recently.

-PerfectDynamics 3.0 Sound Optimizations applied
-Google Play Store added

Mr. Henri P. shared his feedback before and today I received his updates after delivering PerfectDynamics 3.0 ROM version as below.

Hi, Keetatawee,
Thank you very much for the update. I installed it on my DX200.
I was surprised by the difference! Deeper basses, trebles feel a bit more free but, above all, the sounds are much swifter and I feel a much better location of the instruments and with a “scene” that sound much bigger!!!
The former versions did not give such a big improvement ! I believe it is also because you implemented your PerfectDynamic 3.0 on the DX200!
Anyways, thanks to your new version, the new MangoPlayer under Android OS sounds gorgeous with your PerfectDynamic 3.0 implementation. Really IMPRESSIVE!
