I installed this switch in my video system in place of an inexpensive D-Link switch, which receives ethernet signal from the router and distributes it to 2 attached devices (LG OLED TV, model C8, 77″); and an NVidia Shield TV Pro streaming box). This particular LG OLED is a 4K display which is superb looking and has very high resolution. It shows everything.
So with no changes other than swapping the EtherStream2 switch for the D-Link switch, I immediately noticed a difference in the picture–it is now smoother and slightly less grainy: ie, the same resolution as before, but smoother. I believe what I’m seeing is a reduction in video noise in the signal coming from the switch to the TV. It’s not difficult to see this; it’s a true improvement. I’m impressed!
Thanks again,
Peter
I have had it playing non stop since I got it working correctly. It’s gave the music a richer sound, more depth a little more clarity and it seem to put everything in a place better in the sound stage. But not only has the it helped with that it has also helped with my roon not dropping out any more. It hasn’t dropped out since this has been running. Great product! Thanks again.
Dear Keetakawee,
Thanks for the kind email. Much appreciated! I’ve been enjoying the difference the EtherStream 2 makes from the very first note of the jazz pieces I listen to via internet radio (Jazz Groove). I’ve also upgraded the 12V power supply to the SBooster BOTW P&P ECO MKII, which is a worthwhile investment. Here’s looking forward to even nicer things to come as I run the course of the ‘break-in’ and ‘burn-in’ periods.
Keep up the great work!
Best regards,
Added the new Etherstream2 to a system that drives 3 HDMI outputs. Both the picture and sound are crisper, although not as big an improvement as the Etherstream2 driving my best streamer. The top line streamer now has sharper edges around each instrument (including voice). Even better is that the sound projects more toward the listener. Nice work!
Thanks,
DJK
Thank you very much. The voice is very good, surpassing the description. It’s comfortable to listen to and easy to understand because it’s not stressful. I don’t dare to touch the sound at all this hour.
I’ve tried listening to the switch and it sounds much better. It flows smoothly and the vocals sound more melodious. The sound details are improved, and it’s much clearer to listen to with greater detail.
like a brand new stereo!
I use 2 of your ‘Nikola’ power supplies and one of your Fidelizer network switches in my music systems and I’m running Fidelizer on 2 computers – each of your products has made listening to music so much more enjoyable. Many, many thanks – and keep going x

It has not been long but the last few days of Etherstream+ experience has been very good. Presentation is better than previous version, added lot more crispness and edges sound curvy and pleasant. It is quite easy to demonstrate the presence and no presence of Etherstream+ in the chain. Even a novice could recognize it, no need to be a serious listener.
Video too has improved, colors got darker and richer. I added dampening material to further reduce noise level in the unit, so wasn’t sure is that made the change or it is supposed to be from Etherstream+ Upgrade, atleast on the video.
So with the opportunity to add and tune Nimitra/EtherStream/Nikola units over time I ended up with a complete Fidelizer system, benefiting from hardware and software upgrades as Keetakawee gained experience and further optimized designs, and the incredible value of his direct on-line support to resolve installation and upgrade issues plus optimization.

Hello Keetakawee!
The revitalized Fidelizer arrived safe and sound Monday. I installed it and tested with the same configuration, which included a wired Ethernet to optical Ethernet converter. Really didn’t like the sound. I removed the optical Ethernet component. Sounds spectacular now. Cleaner bass and a more overall definition. Well done!
Thanks,
DJK
First impression is bass. Tightness and control feels like attached to chest.
Thanks, It is sounding good out of the box so nice to know it will get even better. I feel like I’m hearing what my dac can really do for the first time!
Regards
Derek
Many of these threads turn into unintentional comedy in hindsight. I have the EtherStream2 and it’s very musical. It outclassed a switch costing 5x more. It increased my listening enjoyment by way more than the price suggests. Any serious streaming setup absolutely needs a switch of this quality.
Omg the network switch sounds unbelievable you were right.
It’s a spectacular device that I ever encounter. I will recommended to my friends without any hesitation. Thanks
I’m very happy with EtherStream2 after several weeks of operation in my system. My experience is that changes from already excellent EtherStream is improved details, bass depth and definition, resulting in better balance and space for vocals and instruments and overall providing a more musical performance.
Hi Keetakawee,
Thank you for sending me the new EthernetStream2 and Nikola2..You have achieved something very special here! I use an Aurender W20 to serve all digital audio and it allows me to stream Tidal, Qobuz and Spotify. I always use data stored on the drives in the Aurender where I can, because no streaming service can match locally-served data (even using a Naim ND-555).
But more importantly, with your new products in the signal path, streamed audio is as close to locally-served audio as I’ve yet heard. The sound is more open, textures and soundstage are significantly improved – and if I wasn’t able to do a side-by-side comparison between streamed and locally served, I’d have said the streamed audio was as good as locally served.
This is a significant change, because streamed audio has previously sounded a lot less dynamic and involving. So Congratulations!
I’m delighted to have upgraded and am happy to know that I now have access to a significantly better and far more enjoyable audio source for streaming – and one I can happily live with whenever I don’t have the music stored locally.
Thank you! 🙂
Simon
I really like all the features of Nimitra. It is a perfect adaptation of a computer just for music and streaming. No other clutter. I am thinking I will explore Roon eventually since it is already supported.
Best regards
Mike
Thanks so much, I tried chaining as you suggested and this brought about quite a surprising improvement for which I thank you. Vocals were more real background mere quiet so detail of ambient info was increased.
arrived before noon today…a day early! no problems with immediately enhanced audio in all the subtle ways one hopes…wider soundstage…quieter and crisper at top and bottom with solo instruments sitting in their own spaces! streaming improved in similar fashion to music stored on hard drive played through my pro-ject usb streamer with it‘s cleaner power supply… delighted and surprised to get the router…you are a CHAMP! worth the wait…THANKS for such caring support to back up your exceptional product!
Hi Keetakawee,
I don’t want to postpone anymore to tell that your Nikola signature provides phenomenal improvement for my audio system. What was perfect before it was connected into the system became much more better. Nikola Signature has stolen a lot of time from my life and seated me down to listen to music much more as I did before :).
Many thanks for the joy what your EtherStream and Nikola signature serve to me!!! Nowadays I have made some other improvements in my system but your equipment crowned my efforts.
All the best
Hi Keetakawee,
Nimitra+Etherstream are awesome!! I can’t describe it in detail due to poor English but it is totally upgrade. And the most important thing is they bring a pressure free listening experience to me. In my previous system, I usually feel pressure and the pressure makes me headache. The problem really bothers me a lot. Now all pressure is gone, only sweet and comfortable music left. Now I can play my system all day ?. Thank you, and hope you have a nice day.
Received the switch yesterday and I am very pleased. Another level of noise has disappeared but dynamics seem to be unchanged. Really appreciate it.
Hi – Another satisfied customer 🙂
For the last year I owned the Fidelizer EtherStream with its included power supply. It’s been a very worthwhile upgrade from the wired connection directly from router to my streamer/dac. After listening to it with the Nikola power supply I can’t believe the overall improvement. If I switch back to the router connection, I’d put it on the same level as having a great turntable with a $20 cartridge mounted. It plays music, but its full potential is greatly hindered by the cartridge. This combo could be considered a ‘digital phono cartridge’ in the playback chain. I didn’t hear what Tidal or Qobuz could truly deliver to my system until I had these in place.
I work in a stereo shop in the United States where we represent some of the best products money can buy. There isn’t anything we sell that’ll make as big of an improvement to your streaming experience for the price of these two products. Not even close.
Try this combo for all they’ll bring to the music. – Kurt Lantz
Dear Keetakawee,
I just got my EtherStream – Nikola Classic combo and connect them. There is late night now but I almost couldn’t stand up and stop listening to TIDAL music. You are a Genius. They added a huge portion of musical precision, clarity, details and wide stage to my system which I believed before is perfect. To listen a Barclay James Harvest album never was such an enjoyment from a CD than now from TIDAL. But it is just an example among other albums. I made only one improvement I use an Isol-8 power cord to feed Nikola. Many thanks again for the fantastic musical experience!
All the best!
Gabor
Hi Keetakawee,
Yesterday the package arrived and in the late afternoon i connected the switch and the power supply to the system. With your products I have heard more beautiful sound with both Tidal and Qobuz. First of all, the total absence of any harshness or hardening of the sound message both with classical music and with pop. This is the qualitative point I particularly care about.
It also improves the focus and precision of the outlines of the instruments within the stage now even more transparent and broad. The tonal balance is also more balanced across the entire frequency range. Before this upgrade the music tended to be harsh in the mid-to-high range, giving me fatigue in long listening sessions. I thank you again for your great work.Regards
Giorgio
I received the Nimitra today. Thank you very much! I extracted a test CD. Although the Nimitra needs some burning-in, the result is already impressive. I have never heard such clarity and delicateness in the extracted music (I am almost listening to classical music).
Qobuz is back, so I could listen to some favorite pieces of music. Of course, there is no comparison possible with the Bonn N8…. Your switch does a very effective job and it sounds completely different as previously. And, Qobuz becomes worth listening to 🙂
The Bonn N8 has been « offered » by the shop which sold my Linn system. So I had no possibility to compare with something else. Now the comparison is made, and the Bonn N8 is going to be sold very quickly. Thank you again!

Olivier
Of all such devices I came across, Keetakawee Punpeng’s EtherStream not only is by far the most affordable to date, but also effective enough to take serious interest in it, if file playback based on LAN is how you roll.
Greetings khun Non. Today I received your item and listened to it. It was an immediate improvement with lowered noise floor and very quiet. Music sounds a lot better even from WiFi signal. I highly recommend using EtherStream in streaming system for significant improvements. Whoever try this will surely return it in cash lol.
I also distribute some higher brands. That’s why I am surprised with your product. Lower price but high efficiency. I took your switch to compare with anther switch brand “SOtM”. Yours completely wins. The price of SOtM is $799 and lot of ppl already bought it lately.
Unit received. Thank you for the rush. MaRKED IMPROVEMENT IN sound. Have lost a funny digital grunge and increased information throughput. Amazon Prime HD audio and Berlin Philharmonic channel now sound great. Thank you again. Will spread the word.

Brand new not much difference (a bit but not wow)
After 1 hour things started to be improving (time to warm up ?)
and now after 2 weeks (I think capacitors need to brake in) it really shows an improvement: tighter bass, more details, better sound stage in the placement of the instruments.
I connected back my old Dlink switch to make sure and I would not install it back.
So I am very happy with the purchase, if someone has an expensive digital rig, you get an improvement with reasonable investment. totally worth it (it is less than most “audiophile” USB cables).
One thing, though to help the overall sound, I did upgrade ALL my ethernet cable to cat8, and router and switch are powered by low noise linear PSU.
Keetakawee,
I tried my EtherStream + Nikola Classic + Flagship CAT 8.1 cable in my Jplay Femto two PC system. A nice step up in sound quality in most respects. Most noticeable is a smoother and more natural sound with more high frequency detail. There is more space around instruments and voices which do seem to hang in space now. Cymbals have more layers of detail and there is more bass extension.
In all it sounds more like a live performance being played out in front of you with more detail than before. Not sure if this sound is getting closer to the studio master tape or if there are more improvements to make? I also tried TIDAL streaming and it does sound closer to locally stored music files.
Regards,
Geoff
Thanks Kee I just received the switch last night. And JESUS CHRIST it made such a big difference in both audio & video quality! I even did a AB comparison with a normal network switch and saw + heard the difference immediately. This is beyond magic.. now u make me feel like getting another one 😀
Hi Keetakawee,
Your switch is a winner. It is staying in my setup. The two-fold impact (audio and video) makes this a bargain upgrade. The difference is immediate and clearly noticeable. Thank you for your work in improving the digital streaming experience. This is a great addition.
Received package today. There’s clearly dramatic changes in sound quality. It’s a lot better.
Tested EtherStream in my friend’s system consisting of expensive cables, Odin 2, CH Precision with PSU, Trinity pre & power amp. Compared to the stock Cisco switch (same as EtherStream’s stock Cisco except 5 ports), major and clearly audible improvement.
In my system with Nimitra Music server with all Vitus Masterpiece components, there was improvement but not as dramatic as in my friend’s system. Probably because his NAS was connected to EtherStream where else my SSD was connected directly to 1 of Nimitra USB port.
I did compare it streaming through Tidal. Even though it better compare to using stock switch, I prefer the SQ streaming through local files. How good is Nimitra? Not bad at all considering the price. I used to play with Aurender W20 connected to MSB Selectl. For reference.
This is just my opinion. Couldn’t believe a modified switch can make such an impact on SQ.
Hi Keetakawee,
EtherStream Switch has now been in my system for a couple of weeks. The quality of hires audio streaming is dramatically improved and now very close to playing directly from SSD disk. As a welcome bonus, picture and sound quality for TV and video streaming is also significantly better. This is by far the best value for money audio/video upgrade I have ever done.
Best regards
Kjell
Hi,
I’ve got it today afternoon. It is amazing! I’m very grateful. Thank you!

Hi Keetakawee
Now that the switch is pretty well broken in, the sound (and video) quality is significantly improved! I play my music off a NAS drive, and the sound quality improvement is easily as big an as I got from Marcin’s JCAT network card but the combination of both is even greater improvement!
I notice it mostly in the clarity and the tightness of the bass. My wife (who has superhuman hearing) said this is the biggest improvement she has heard to date. (and I am continuously tweaking things)
Congratulations on your accomplishment and thanks!
Greg
I put the Aqvox switch back in just to do a little test while my hearing senses were peaked. Not much of a comparison even though I also noted that the AQ was far superior to off the shelf switch. Your new switch, which I hope is the same as the EtherStream, showed it’s stuff in harmonic detail and, where I notice the analog/digital difference most, in defined bass. I’m partial to Kind of Blue for that bass articulation. I have an original LP pressing at 45 rpm which is staggeringly good and there’s a clear difference in the digital version between the AQ and EtherStream…very clear. That’s as far as I’ve gone and the EtherStream is a permanent fixture.
Image quality from Netflix is so much better. It’s like watching from hard drive directly.
Watching Netflix with very clean image and vivid color. Songs from NAS and Tidal are much more analogue with rich ambient, quiet, and precise timing. My mind and eyes blown away. Very superb image and sound quality improvements. I’d cry to miss this one out.
