Fidelizer receives Positive Feedback Writers’ Choice 2016 Award

Positive Feedback Writers' Choice Award 2016 for Fidelizer

Last week I was informed that Fidelizer will receive Positive Feedback Writers’ Choice Award 2016 by Larry Cox. Yesterday I received the image for public announcement so I’m posting it here today. You can read the definition of this award below.

The following is an opportunity for our editors and writers to recognize superior merit in the audio arts though their “Writers’ Choice Awards”. Our writers and reviewers have been given broad leeway to cite excellence in fine audio wherever they find it: products, people, recordings, events, groups, etc., so that our readers can be better informed.

It is our hope that you will find the PF Writers’ Choice Awards to be helpful to you in your audio journey.

All the best,

Positive Feedback

Larry Cox didn’t review Fidelizer Pro but he nominated Fidelizer for this award out of his own interests as an audiophile. He also ended the message with “thank you for making Fidelizer” and that was very encouraging.

Please don’t forget to read the Fidelizer Pro review by Tom Gibbs too. The award is big news but good review is also important too 🙂

Nimitra’s first review on The Audio Beat by Roy Gregory

It’s been a few months since launching Nimitra Computer Audio Server product.  During these times, I also met Stiring Trayle and Roy Gregory when they came to demonstrate system setup in Thailand at Deco’s audiophile shop. Roy took interests in Nimitra product so he told me he’d write a short review about Nimitra. Here’s his comment about sound quality part.

So far, listening experience with the Nimitra has been limited to a system in which it was acting as a network player connected to a dCS Vivaldi DAC. The results were unusually planted and rhythmically coherent for a file source, with greater body, weight, musical coherence and structural organization than I’m used to from file sources. But perhaps most interesting was the direct comparison with a MacBook Air, running on battery and feeding the DAC’s USB input via Nordost’s excellent Blue Heaven USB cable, a setup that produced a sound that was insubstantial, flattened and disjointed in comparison. All of which marks the Fidelizer as apart from other file-replay solutions I’ve heard. It seems that the high-end aspirations have been realized and that all that comparative listening has paid off.

It’s an honor for my first hardware product to be reviewed by well known writer such as Roy. Stirling Trayle also bought Nimitra after setting up Wilson speakers using Nimitra device. I’m sending Nimitra to a few reviewers so more will come soon.

Fidelizer review on Alpha Audio

This review was actually published months ago in late February 2016. Jaap Veenstra contacted me about using Fidelizer software in his audio workshop and I gave him Fidelizer Pro license for demonstration. I was too occupied by Fidelizer 7 development and forgot about publishing his result in website. Here’s what he says about Fidelizer Pro in his workshop.

We have, of course, with and without twisted Fidelizer. And the difference is just audible: more peace, more flexibility, more detail and a bigger, better focused stereo image. Undoubtedly a package that does a good job. And his money’s worth.

And here’s the original message in German.

He also review other interesting software products like Kodi and foobar2000 on Windows 10. There’s also Daphile in his workshop too so be sure to check it out.

Fidelizer review on Quotidiano Audio

Quotidiano Audio is growing audiophile online media in Italy since 2012. This software review was written on 8th April 2016 but I discovered this review only recently so forgive me for not finding you sooner. This review is written in Italian so I’ll copy the translate core messages here.

Looking more specifically, Fidelizer Pro v7 reduces latency, improves the performance of the clock, optimizes MMCSS (Multimedia Class Scheduler Service), no island-sound processes on a single core, run the audio player software with the highest possible priority, optimizes the kernel timers and audio files priorities; Some of these performances are unique in their kind (= software competitors do not have all these features).

You can do all that manually intervening? Probably yes, but at costs of several sleepless nights and probably not with the same results.

And here’s the original message in Italian.

The reviewer Massimo Garofalo is also the founder of Quotidiano Audio and is quite knowledgeable about computer audio so I recommend to read full review for better understanding about computer audio.
