Fidelizer 6.14 released – Improved Roon compatibilities with more on-demand requests

Some thought version 6.13 was gonna be the last release, well, me too but somehow unexpected requests come up and I noticed the issues Roon that run on startup. So I fixed Roon and MinimServer incompatibilities and allow Pro to handle services like Free/Plus version when it doesn’t run on startup.

I also removed stopping security services in free version now for public safety measures. Even with smart EnableLUA trigger flag, there’s still some people who turn off UAC yet want to keep security services running. I still maintain security services in Plus/Pro as before since there’s no such request from customers yet.

Well, I intended to release this sooner but the internet got worse at my parents’ place so I decided to wait until I come back to my own place to release it without issues.

Fixed PayPal payment redirection bug (For real this time)

Today I received a reply from customers say he used Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 to get this issue. Back then I was at my parents’ place using Windows 7 laptop so I had no idea things like this could happen. So I tested on Edge and it’s still redirecting to PayPal homepage as before. Oh no…

Fixed PayPal payment redirection bug

Today I received an error report about PayPal redirecting to its homepage after clicking “Buy Now” button so I looked into it and found the code got mixed up between old and new code after some changes to show supported credit cards causing homepage redirection bugs on some browsers.

Now I’ve re-implemented the code again from scratch making sure it’s working fine on IE/Firefore/Chrome now. If you have issues with Fidelizer Upgrade Program in past, please try again now and don’t hesitate to contact us for support if there’s any problem that we can assist you with.

Fixed insecure payment notification

Yesterday I received a message about insecure payment which surprised me because PayPal shouldn’t have such issue. After investigation, I found it’s caused by using insecure protocol for logo URL.

Now I’ve solved this problem so feel free to upgrade Fidelizer with confidence. Many thanks to Mr. Karsten to notify me this and welcome to Fidelizer. 🙂

Added FAQs page and information about bit-perfect

I wrote FAQs section in Fidelizer Upgrade Program page for a while but it doesn’t seem to have good visibility there so I moved out to a new page for easier access from Support menu.

I also added new question about bit-perfect hoping it’ll clear the misunderstanding about bit-perfect making perfect digital audio transport as below.

My foobar2000 has bit-perfect output. How can bit-perfect audio get anymore perfect?

Originally, the concept of “bit-perfect” is about bypassing “OS mixer” to send data to audio device directly. Bit isn’t perfect before because OS mixer will resample all incoming audio data to the same frequency from different applications.

All digital audio problems can’t be solved by simply bypassing OS mixer. Fidelizer puts great effort to reduce software implementation issues in digital audio and we recommend to use Fidelizer with bit-perfect audio applications.
