When I was exhibiting products in BAV audio show during 6-8 June 2025, I received a request from my friend’s store about building an affordable streamer as a Roon core. Although there’s also Nimitra Classic but most people prefer Nimitra2 as true contender.
After giving some thoughts and consulted with a few hifi specialists, we finalized the design for “CoreStream” streamer that can handle 300,000 songs in Roon library with can handle MUSE DSP efficiently. CoreStream also come with other streaming solutions similar to Nimitra too.
We built CoreStream with vision in mind to create the powerful Roon core while maintaining low power requirements and noise. We chose Intel N100 processor because it draws only 6W but can scale with high performance to handle Roon/Audirvana/HQPlayer tasks better.

Despite being the most affordable streamer we can offer, we don’t let go of our standards to develop quality products. We still work closely to manufacturers and develop a custom BIOS, designed for audiophiles with intensive listening tests with flagship CD player as reference.
As a result, CoreStream streamer can deliver audio performance that can feel like listening to real music. We don’t build products to be just acceptable in audio system as background music. It must bring out emotion to feel the real sound from your system too.
Before launching CoreStream, we have a few audiophiles visiting our room and demonstrated CoreStream together with CD playback from flagship CD player in our system. Our clients are all satisfied saying it sounds very close to CD.
The reason why CoreStream can sound close to CD was because we implemented foobar2000 setup assistant we launched to help Fidelizer users setting up a streamer and took steps further to optimize for optimal sound quality with CoreStream streamer.
With intensive listening tests and adjustments on custom BIOS and software configuration, CoreStream can become a reference point to demonstrate how audiophiles can feel the real sound with Fidelizer sound experience from CoreStream as a starting point.
CoreStream can stream music with Airplay / uPNP / Roon Core / Roon Ready / HQPlayer NAA / Plays with Audirvana right out of the box and users can request remote support to provide assistance with software configuration and updates.

With FidelizerOS that shares a lot of similarity with NimitraOS developed in Nimitra streamer, CoreStream can run on lightweight operating system with special version of Fidelizer designed for dedicated streamer product with the following optimizations.
CORE #1: HQPlayer NAA daemon / RAATServer
CORE #2: foobar2000
CORE #3: foobar2000
CORE #4: non-audio processes
With this configuration, foobar2000 won’t interfere audio thread on Core#1 and won’t share thread with non-audio threads in Core#4. HQPlayer NAA daemon and RAATServer will run as endpoint on Core#1. These audio processes will run at high priority to ensure optimal performance.
As for hardware specifications, CoreStream shares a lot of design from Erawan flagship streamer as below:
CPU: Intel N100 processor (With custom BIOS for optimal audio performance)
Memory: 8GB DDR4 3200MHz dual channel
Storage: Enterprise grade SSD
USB: 2 x USB Audio (blue) / 4 x USB Storage/receiver (black) / 1 x USB Type-C
