Here’s a new feedback today. He’s been using free version for many years and decided to upgrade to Fidelizer Pro recently after hearing significant improvements with free version.

Thanks for your answer. It’s clear to me now. I have used the free version of Fidelizer for many years, on my media server and on the pc connected to my stereo system. I was never convinced of the added value, so I never bought the software.

That has changed recently, after I changed all switching power supplies in my stereo system and my local area network to linear power supplies, and upgraded their DC-cables. Now I can hear the effect of Fidelizer installed on a pc running Windows 10 and Logitech Media Server. It serves music to a Naim streamer or an Innuos player via UTP cables.

The high frequencies have become cleaner, making it easier to listen to complex music and poor recordings, and improving the ‘stage image’ if the recoding allows it. So, even with such a ‘distant relationship’ between the pc with Fidelizer and the stereo, Fidelizer gives an improvement. An important condition is that the connecting hardware has sufficient quality.

Fidelizer 8.8 released – Improved compatibility with Windows 11 Insider Preview and MinorityClean

Hi guys. It’s been a long while since last 8.7 release. I’ve been busy with Nimitra firmware 4.0 update so the update of version 8.8 was postponed for a while due to testing and changes to make on Nimitra’s project.

On the bright side, we have Windows 11 coming and so I can take opportunities to explore changes in Windows 11 and improve Fidelizer to support changes on Windows 11 better.

Another good news is Mr. Hiroyuki Yokota is finally back and released a new update of MinorityClean. I’ve been observing his projects for a while and realized I haven’t put MinorityClean app to be recognized as audio app yet. Now it’s fixed.

The latest official Windows 11 Insider Preview release in website is version 22000.132 so Fidelizer 8.8 was tested on Windows 11 version 22000.132 before release with great results. 🙂

The first review of AirStream Wireless Router is now published by Mr. Marshall Nack who also reviewed EtherStream with ultra highend system before. This time AirStream is reviewed with daily devices bringing audiophile’s spice in daily life.

Last time I couldn’t send EtherStream with Nikola Classic as it was still being developed. This time I was going to send AirStream with Nikola Classic but I decided to send AirStream with Nikola Signature with 2 outputs instead for upcoming project.

It’s really assuring to start this review with Qigong class as I also had a lot on my plate recently. I’m glad to hear that AirStream also resolved his issues with Zoom software during online class on top of audio/video improvements in daily life.

Positive Feedback

As consumers of electronics, we are damn lucky to be the beneficiaries of trickle down. There are a few specialist companies that ensure we eventually get the advances. All you need is patience and meanwhile, the wallet stays healthy. Besides, it is always best to avoid being a Beta tester.

The improvements an audiophile ethernet switch brings to hard-wired music streaming are by now well established. That leaves all those internet apps that you access via Wi-fi, like Netflix, YouTube, or Zoom—what about them, they have the same issues. The root cause in both cases is the consumer-grade router at the head of the chain.

The idea is so obvious in hindsight. Why not port the fixes developed for the EtherStream switch over to a Wi-fi dedicated router? What the EtherStream switch did for the audiophile market, the AirStream does for household apps accessed via Wi-fi. However, the quality of results depends a lot on your local setup and devices. Video streaming with my MacBook Pro showed variable results: some apps were marginally better; others, no difference. With my iPhone, it was consistently better.

What was never in doubt, though, was AirStream’s effect on streaming audio from a high-quality source, like Qobuz. The improvement here was pretty remarkable, nearly equaling that of the EtherStream switch for hardwired connections. I expect the video side will evidence similar improvements for consumers who watch movies on high quality screens.

Hello guys. This is the new project I started for fun. One is Tidal music playback recorded from standard router provided by ISP. And another one is recorded from audiophile grade network switch and router powered by linear power supply.

I’m not going to say which one is which. You guys can listen and tell me if you prefer A or B more. Or maybe both are the same? Let’s see if YouTube video can show audible results. 🙂
