Radio frequency interference sound in CD ripping?

Today I heard something that was beyond my understanding. There’s a customer who asked me to build USB interconnects using Nordost Valhalla cables for his CD ripping project with AK320 + AK Ripper. Sound quality is superb like no others that’s for sure. However, he told me some CDs he ripped contains sound from radio station near his house.

I was like…..seriously? That’s digital data transmission sending pulses of 0 and 1. If anything, it should be 0 and 1 pulses sending with jitter affected by interference. It shouldn’t be possible to technically record sound from radio frequency through CD ripping. And the cable is only 10cm, very darn too short to have anything to be affected like that.

Have you guys heard such case before? I’ve been ripping CD from many devices and never find such case like this.

Here’s a new feedback today. He sent me his feedback after telling him that reinstalling Windows won’t affect Fidelizer license status.

Just wanted to say the pro version takes everything to the next level, really worth the upgrade! ?

Glad to hear that Fidelizer Pro takes everything to the next level. It’s super effective!

Another feedback today from Fidelizer Nimitra customer. Yay! He also works in hifi shop so he can play with various gears in shop he works with. How jealous!

First I have to thank Mr Keetakawee Punpeng for all of his brilliant support he really takes care of his costumers!

I first started with fidelizer free a few months ago and was surprised over the difference in sound on my pc, only a few days later I ordered my pro version and boy was it worth it. Big upgrade in sound for almost no money!

When Nimitra came out I wasn’t sure what it was really, but Keetakawee explained everything in great detail to me and I knew this was just the thing for me.

I work part-time in a hifi store and listen to fine expensive audio very often. Nimitra sounds like it should cost a lot more than it does, the airiness in treble is fantastic the punchy bass that’s more refined sounds just amazing. You can say it sounds more analogue.

I’m on the lazy side so getting up to switch between cd’s or vinyls is not my thing… Just open the app and play from tidal or high resolution files from hdd, it´s so simple!

Nimitra doesn’t offer only sound quality beyond expectations but also services to get sound of your dreams. 🙂

Here’s a new feedback today. Looks like Fidelizer Pro is working great in quite serious system.

Hi Keetakawee,

Still early days but my impressions so far has been very positive. The software works seamlessly and Windows has been stable so far. There is less digital glare in the sound, enhanced dynamics and micro detail but without affecting ‘musicality’ of the sound. Having said this, in my warm Unison Research S6 and Harbeth P3esr stereo system coupled by Duelund tinned copper DC16Ga speaker cables I felt the Fidelizer added almost too much texture to already rich midrange and mid-base. Switching to Purist level addressed this adding more air and exposing treble in the sound signature.

I use JRiver as a server and renderer within all in one PC at the moment and I don’t do any upsampling to DSD, etc. If any, I have a few SACD quality records that I downsample to 192khz (plus for movies JRiver would automatically down sample surround to 2.0 stereo)

PS If your Nimitra hardware is as good as Fidelizer I might give it a shot as I’m planning to separate audio from video in my system. That’s for the next year project though (hope you will add LPSU by then 🙂 )

Warm regards
Radek

Reducing digital glare, enhance dynamics and micro detail without affecting ‘musicality’ under $100 budget. 😀
