Nimitra review on TNT-Audio by Richard Varey

Another review of Nimitra arrived since few days ago. I was busy with lots of stuff after BAV 2017 event and finally have time to wrire about it today. This time it’s from TNT-Audio written by Richard Varey, our Fidelizer Pro user and also a reviewer. 🙂

This is probably the first review of Nimitra coming from non-highend system. You can learn Nimitra’s performance comparing to Fidelized PC and Rasberry Pi streamer platform in  [Review] Nimitra Computer Audio Server article.

In my exploration of digital music playback, which so far has included a PC optimized with Fidelizer, a Raspberry Pi streamer with onboard DAC, and several open source software operating system options as alternatives to Microsoft Windows, this is the best sounding setup, as I expected it would be. The sound quality is crisp, very dynamic, very detailed, and the sound is natural, big and open. Especially impressive is the separation of instruments and voices and the believability of the soundstage image.

Actually, he received the first demo unit for reviewing and review itself is finished few months ago. It took a while until his review going live.

Fidelizer 7.6 released – Major updates for Windows 10 Annniversary Edition

After releasing 7.5 for a while, I received reports about Windows Store app has audio feature broken after using Fidelizer software. I looked into it and found new Windows 10 Anniversary has some changes that prevented audio feature from working with Fidelizer. We managed to fine workaround method and solved this issue.

As for free users, I also added compatibility with Steam/Origin games on higher user levels. This won’t be applied to Plus/Pro version since they’re mostly passionate audiophiles who don’t want to have any non-audio exceptions. Please let me know if you want Steam/Origin games support for Plus/Pro version.

I also fixed some I/O performance on higher user level related to security problems in some cases I found from music server project and improved compatibility with Tidal software.

Fidelizer Plus/Pro users should be received a mail about update and download link by now. If you somehow didn’t receive an update notification as I received some delivery failure message too, please contact me for an update with your customer data to verify.

Since we have over 1,900 licenses now so we can’t deliver all licenses in a single day with 1,000 sending limit per day. We made some changes to delivery platform to slowly send software update to customers. I also noticed some customers have yet to provide fidelizer.key data after asking a few times so please contact me back.

Just thought I would drop a email and say a big thank you for Fidelizer Pro.
I use it with Foobar2000, Process Lasso and Jplay on a stand alone Windows 10 PC. My DAC being a J Kenny Ciunas.
I had used the Free Version of Fidelizer, and l can happily report than Fidelizer Pro gives a further gain in performance.
Put simply, this is the best set up, l have had period.
