Hello guys. While I was working on iBasso DX200 2.5.141 ROMs, I received order for Fiio X7 Advanced ROM so I need to deliver his ROM file within 24hrs so I hope a little delay wouldn’t hurt as I’m also testing some new stuff too. Here’s information about Fiio X7 Purist ROM.

-Based on official Fiio X7 3.3.0 ROM
-Deodexed
-Apollo – Fidelity Edition from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apollo-music-player-fidelity-edition-t3038629 included
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-bundled audio effects removed but keep main engine (Poweramp works now)

Installation Guide

1. Download Factory Tool provided by Devin http://www.mediafire.com/file/0yztdw6qdpwwp9a/X5III+Firmware+Upgrade+Tool+with+FW1.1.1.zip
2. Turn off Fiio X7
3. Connect X7 with USB connection to computer while holding previous track button
4. Install RK USB driver included in Firmware Upgrade Tool and replace update.img image with mine.
5. Open X7 Firmware Upgrade Tool.exe and flash ROM according to instructions provided in Instructions of How to Use the X7 Firwmare Upgrade Tool.pdf

 

There’s a lot of improvements for Advanced ROM and I also added Enhanced ROM into collection too. Please read Portable Products for more details including Fidelizer Mod project to further enhance Fiio X7 product with hardware modification.

Very satisfied with the result of Fidelizer/Win7/Asus i7 into Auralic Vega/Exact. It helped with the dropouts (non-existent now) and the sound is marginally cleaner in Flac and visibly more “solid” in DSD (in my system and for my ears). My view is that, besides the main components and interconnects that impart most of the sound characteristics, small tweaks in which I include power cords, power conditioners, etc. and also software such as Fidelizer are minor unavoidable expenses that in small steps improve SQ.

Even Intel i7 processor can have dropouts and Fidelizer can cure it with improved sound quality. 🙂
