Though there’s some minor improvements in 8.4, I didn’t expect it to be this effective to many clients like this. I’m glad to hear that it worked. 🙂

The first DX220 ROM ported to DX200 worked for most cases but it also has stability issues so I decided to change the approach. This time I worked from DX220 image directly and inject DX200 files for proper port.
After testing for a while, it unexpectedly sound better too and Android OS is now stable. Mango OS however will have DX220 resolution so it won’t work properly. I recommend official 1.0.6 ROM with DX220 MangoPlayer for those who prefer to use Mango OS.

–Yalp Store is added as Play Store’s alternative (I still keep Google services for those who want to install Play Store through other means)

Installation Guide
1. Turn off DX200
2. Connect DX200 with USB connection to computer while holding play button switch
3. Install Rockchip USB driver included in AndroidTool and make sure it shows loader mode in AndroidTool software
4. Remove USB cable and power on device. Then, extract Official Oreo ROM firmware from iBasso to device’s storage and flash from Settings > System > Updater > Local storage
5. After successfully flashing official ROM, go to Settings > System > About tablet and tap “Build number” for 7 times to enable “Developer options”
6. Tap back arrow to enter “Developer options”, enable “USB debugging”, and press OK
7. Connect DX200 to computer with USB connection in Android mode again and press OK to allow USB debugging
8. Download Disable Verity package and run disable_verity.bat file
9. After DX200 boots up properly with Verity disabled, turn off device and connect with USB connection to computer while holding play button
10. Open AndroidTool, click on “Upgrade Firmware” tab, click on Firmware button and select update.img extracted from Purist ROM then click Upgrade button
If you like improvements in Purist ROM, you may upgrade to Enhanced / Advanced ROM for even better sound. Please read Portable Products for more details including iBasso DX200 Fidelizer Mod project with 3 modification levels and happy listening. 🙂

Keetakawee, your Fidelizer on this system brings really a huge improvement, much more I could appreciate on the old tablet. Sounds really great. Now I’ll spend the whole day to understand which processor priority policy I prefer. At the moment I find natural harmonics+Rich details the best for the music I listen to with Audirvana+uRendu+Chord Hugo2+LCD4.
I’m glad to see fellow headphile users sharing his feedback with Fidelizer. It’s harder to interact with headphile after Head-Fi locking user’s appreciation thread.

After successful ports of iBasso DX220 ROM to DX150 and DX200 devices, it’s finally time to add Purist ROM optimizations to actual DX220 now. I tested with real iBasso DX220 DAP before applying Fidelizer Mod optimizations to confirm that it worked fine.
