Here’s a new feedback today. I received his feedback after transferring his Fidelizer Pro license to a new machine.

Keetakawee, your Fidelizer on this system brings really a huge improvement, much more I could appreciate on the old tablet. Sounds really great. Now I’ll spend the whole day to understand which processor priority policy I prefer. At the moment I find natural harmonics+Rich details the best for the music I listen to with Audirvana+uRendu+Chord Hugo2+LCD4.

I’m glad to see fellow headphile users sharing his feedback with Fidelizer. It’s harder to interact with headphile after Head-Fi locking user’s appreciation thread.

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 2.0

 

For new users, please read about PerfectDynamics 2.0 Sound Optimizations first for new improvements with Fidelizer ROMs.

 

After successful ports of iBasso DX220 ROM to DX150 and DX200 devices, it’s finally time to add Purist ROM optimizations to actual DX220 now. I tested with real iBasso DX220 DAP before applying Fidelizer Mod optimizations to confirm that it worked fine.

 

-Based on iBasso DX220 firmware version Oreo 8.1 V1.09.092
–Yalp Store is added as Play Store’s alternative (I still keep Google services for those who want to install Play Store through other means)
-Apollo – Fidelity Edition from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apollo-music-player-fidelity-edition-t3038629 included
-MangoPlayer app has optimizations applied
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-Audio engine optimized for only audio playback (EQ/Gaplass features work)

Installation Guide

1. Turn off DX220
2. Connect DX220 with USB connection to computer while holding play button switch
3. Install Rockchip USB driver included in AndroidTool
4. Flash Official Oreo ROM firmware from iBasso with instructions provided
5. After successfully flashing official ROM, go to Settings > System > About tablet and tap “Build number” for 7 times to enable “Developer options”
6. Tap back arrow to enter “Developer options”, enable “USB debugging”, and press OK
7. Connect DX220 to computer with USB connection in Android mode again and press OK to allow USB debugging
8. Download Disable Verity package and run disable_verity.bat file
9. After DX220 boots up properly with Verity disabled, turn off device and connect with USB connection to computer while holding play button
10. Open AndroidTool, click on “Upgrade Firmware” tab, click on Firmware button and select update.img extracted from Purist ROM then click Upgrade button

 

If you like improvements in Purist ROM, you may upgrade to Enhanced / Advanced ROM for even better sound. Please read Portable Products for more details including iBasso DX220 Fidelizer Mod project with 3 modification levels and happy listening. 🙂

Awesome, thanks! I could hear the difference that Fidelizer Plus so much so that I upgraded to Fidelizer Pro.
The results blew me away and gives a punchy new life to my Yamaha analogue stereo and lastly TV to line in.
Smooth digital sound analog lifelike presence. Never knew there was so much recorded detail that I was not hearing.

Headphone apps Atmos, Waves NX, with their HeadTracker Hardware, Steel Series 7 RF wireless with DTS Headphone 7.1 v2
surround sound, big room, music equalizer, no compression. Streaming music W10, Asus, Nvidia 1070x a bit of overclock.
ZoomF1 and Zoom H3-VR quad mic for no vst mixing and format recording to sd card. Headphone line out to stereo line in.

One year in now learning about mixing, binaural, ambisonic formats with 360 degree surround sound. I found immersive
presence but everything was lacking fidelity. Problem is solved by Fidelizer Pro. Good info on forums on audiofile.com.

Dear Keetakawee,

Thank you so much for refunding that money to me but you didn’t need to do that as I do love your software and think it is very good value for money. It is nice to still be able to purchase things without getting ripped off and I do thank you for that. I have installed your software and have been having an extended listen to it in fact the the first thing I started was a harpsicord recording of Purcell harpsicord suites and what a delight it was with your new software in place. Hapsicords ha a lot of treble energy which can be very tiresome with extended listening but I have to say that it was really well behaved and I listened to the whole file with no fatigue so it will be very welcome to me . I hope to get a more balanced listening test soon and I shall tell you how I am getting on. Once again thanks again and I’ll be in touch again soon.

After successful port of iBasso DX220 ROM to DX200 device, here’s another port for DX150 device. Mango OS isn’t available as stock ROM but you can get DX220 MangoPlayer working on DX150 device with better user interface and sound quality. 🙂

3. Install Rockchip USB driver included in AndroidTool and make sure it shows loader mode in AndroidTool software
4. Remove USB cable and power on device. Then, extract Official Oreo ROM firmware from iBasso to device’s storage and flash from Settings > System > Updater > Local storage
5. After successfully flashing official ROM, go to Settings > System > About tablet and tap “Build number” for 7 times to enable “Developer options”
6. Tap back arrow to enter “Developer options”, enable “USB debugging”, and press OK
7. Connect DX150 to computer with USB connection in Android mode again and press OK to allow USB debugging
8. Download Disable Verity package and run disable_verity.bat file
9. After DX150 boots up properly with Verity disabled, turn off device and connect with USB connection to computer while holding play button
10. Open AndroidTool, click on “Upgrade Firmware” tab, click on Firmware button and select update.img extracted from Purist ROM then click Upgrade button
